On Monday, 12 Mordad 1405 (3 August 2026), the Tehran Stock Exchange booked three different gains, and all three are correct: the free-float index rose 2.27 percent, TEDPIX 2.39 percent and the equal-weight index 2.50 percent. The gap comes from a variable the daily board rarely shows: the free-float percentage. Among index heavyweights it runs from 11 to 42 percent, and that spread sets a stock's index weight, the money needed to move its price, and how fast a queue forms.
