Iran's Competition Council (session 758, July 8, 2026) again ruled the Industry Ministry's approved 15% car price hike falls short of the Protection Organization's justified 25%. The dispute lands on Tehran Bourse's automaker stocks, Khodro, Khasapa, Khegostar and Khbahman, a group that rode a Codal-driven rally in Khordad but now faces selling pressure from the collapsed Iran-US ceasefire.

Today, Thursday July ninth, we look at Tehran's automaker stocks. The Council again called the fifteen percent hike insufficient. The Protection Organization calculated a justified rise near twenty five percent. The Ministry set its figure without fully following guideline five forty three. Four numbers this week: fifteen percent, twenty five percent, and a costlier dollar. Khodro and Saipa shares were halted for nearly a month before this rally. The dollar climbed past one hundred eighty thousand tomans on Wednesday. This dispute feeds directly into what households pay for a car. The spokesperson says the Ministry skipped part of the guideline. In the past month these stocks moved from a halt to a price hike, then this session. Referring the case onward could still bring a further price increase. Watch for the oversight ruling, and any fresh price filing on Codal. Read the full analysis on Sahmino.
