Today we're looking at Fmelli, Iran's largest copper producer. National Iranian Copper Industries just reported its net profit for the year. That profit reached one hundred forty nine point six trillion tomans, up ninety eight percent. The company owns three mines, Sarcheshmeh, Miduk and Sungun, producing cathode, slab and wire. Operating revenue rose to three hundred twenty one trillion tomans, up eighty percent. Global copper prices reached six dollars and seventeen cents a pound, up about twenty three percent in a year. The Kimia development plan aims to raise the country's copper cathode capacity to one million tons a year. The stock's price to earnings ratio stands at twenty two point four four, as of the last trading session. Iran holds more than fifty four million tons of copper reserves, ranking fifth in the world.
