Iran's Housing Inflation Hit 4.7% in Khordad; Why Did It Lag Food and Clothing? (Wednesday, July 8, 2026)

Iran's Central Bank released its Khordad (the Iranian month ending June 21, 2026) inflation report on Tuesday, June 30, 2026: annual inflation at 57.7% and point-to-point inflation at 83.1%. The "housing, water, electricity and fuel" group rose just 4.7% that month, slower than food (8.7%), clothing (9.5%) and furniture (10%), echoing Sahmino's report last week on rent's lagging growth.
