All four pillars of Iran's capital market, the Tehran Stock Exchange, Iran Fara Bourse, Iran Mercantile Exchange, and Iran Energy Exchange, reopened this morning, Tuesday, 16 Tir 1405 (July 7, 2026), after three consecutive closed sessions. Early data put the benchmark TEDPIX index near 5,136,423 points at the open, down about 1% from the last close before the closure (Wednesday, 10 Tir / July 1, at 5,187,258 points). But the market's mood shifted through the morning: per Eghtesad Online, by 11:04am, 194 symbols were posting positive returns against 143 negative ones, an improvement in market breadth from the opening dip. TEDPIX's final close for today's session (ending 12:30pm) was not yet known at publication. Parallel markets also moved: the free market dollar reached 175,700 tomans, and Bitcoin held relatively steady near $63,000 following Strategy's disclosure of a record $216 million bitcoin sale.
