Iran's Central Bank High Council raised the National Housing Movement individual loan ceiling from 6.5 to 8.5 billion rials, that is from 650 to 850 million tomans. The increase covers only supported projects whose land the Roads and Urban Development Ministry supplies, and was extended to projects more than 65 percent complete. On Sunday, 2 August 2026, a member of parliament's Construction Committee called the figure insufficient. This report measures the loan against what building costs.
