Outcome
The 70th IAEA General Conference is held in Vienna from September 14 to 18, 2026, followed by a Board of Governors session. On the opening day the US did not grant a timely visa for Iran's atomic chief Mohammad Eslami, which Iran called political pressure. Separately, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi urged Iran to resume full cooperation with inspectors, noting no in field verification in Iran for over six months apart from one inspection.
