Coded cheques barred from Chakavak clearing from Dey 1, 1405

Iran's Central Bank said the Chakavak clearing system stops accepting coded (bank-certified) cheques from Tuesday, Dey 1, 1405 (December 22, 2026), the second step of its plan to retire them. After that, issued coded cheques are cashed only by the beneficiary in person at the issuing branch. The first step, a ban on issuing coded cheques in favour of guaranteed cheques, starts on Mehr 7, 1405.
