Eurozone Inflation Rises to 3.8 Percent in September 2026

The EU statistics agency Eurostat put its preliminary estimate of eurozone annual inflation for September 2026 at 3.8 percent, up from 3.2 percent in August and above the 3.6 percent market forecast. The main driver was a sharp rise in energy prices; energy inflation reached 18.8 percent while core inflation, excluding energy and food, rose to 2.5 percent.
