Georgia's Civil Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, that it will comply with the international sanctions regime against Iranian airlines, following new US sanctions announced September 8, 2026 targeting several companies operating Iran-Georgia flight routes. Per EcoIran, the last scheduled flights between the two countries operated Sunday, September 20, 2026, after which all Iranian airline flights to Georgia were fully suspended.
