211 Kilograms of Gold Bullion and 2.9 Tons of Silver Bullion Change Hands on Commodity Exchange in a Week

A review of trading statistics on Iran Mercantile Exchange's financial markets for the week ending Saturday, August 14, 2026 (23 Mordad 1405), shows that more than 2,119,440 gold bullion deposit certificates, equal to 211 kilograms, were traded for a combined 5,300 billion tomans. According to Bourse News, the silver bullion deposit certificate market saw 2,954,217 certificates change hands, equal to 2.9 tons of silver, worth 1,207 billion tomans.
Over the same week, gold investment funds recorded turnover of 4.64 billion units worth about 32,500 billion tomans, while silver funds traded 3.408 billion units worth 3,700 billion tomans. In the gold options market, 61,004 contracts were concluded, equal to 6.1 kilograms of bullion, worth 39 billion tomans.
