According to a Mehr News report dated September 19, 2026 (28 Shahrivar 1405), 452 kilograms of gold bullion and 5.1 tons of silver bullion were traded on the Iran Mercantile Exchange's commodity deposit certificate market in the week ending September 18, 2026 (27 Shahrivar 1405). The market allows buying and selling gold and silver bullion backed by commodity deposit certificates, and its weekly trading volume is one gauge of investor appetite for precious metals through the official commodity exchange.
