38 of 40 industry indices on the Tehran exchange rose on Sunday and nine set record highs

According to Sena, the capital market news agency, 38 of the 40 active industry indices on the Tehran stock market rose in trading on Sunday 2 August 2026 (11 Mordad 1405), with the average industry index gain reaching 1.78 percent.
The coal industry index rose 2.98 percent to 119,000 points, publishing and printing rose 2.96 percent to 4,600,000 points, and technical and engineering rose 2.95 percent to 16,161 points. Rubber and plastics was the only index to fall, down 0.59 percent to 791,000 points. The smallest advance was in water, electricity and gas supply, up 0.01 percent at 9,179 points.
Nine industry indices finished the session at record highs: agriculture at 1,030,000 points, up 103 percent since the start of the Iranian year in March, retail at 16,331 points, up 112 percent, metal ore extraction at 744,000 points, sugar at 465,000 points, tiles and ceramics at 135,000 points, non metallic minerals at 127,000 points and insurance and pensions at 169,155 points, alongside coal and publishing and printing.
