ADNOC Holds Its Eighth Spot Oil Tender Since June as UAE Pushes Crude Exports Higher
11 August 2026 | 2 months ago
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), according to Oilprice.com, citing sources at Reuters in a report published Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405), has issued its eighth spot oil tender since June, offering cargoes of the Upper Zakum, Umm Lulu and Das crude grades for loading in October and November. The report said ADNOC is giving buyers the option to take delivery of the cargoes at Fujairah storage, Zirku Island or Das Island, or to arrange transfers in the Fujairah to Sohar range outside the Strait of Hormuz, or in Malaysia. Oilprice.com said ADNOC has sold more than 90 million barrels of crude through such spot tenders since early June by running a kind of shuttle service to move cargoes outside the strait, and that the UAE, which left OPEC on May 1, managed to restore its oil exports to pre crisis levels as early as June. According to Bloomberg vessel tracking data published last week, the UAE shipped more crude out of the Strait of Hormuz over June and July than any other Gulf producer, and its June crude output reached a record 4.1 million barrels a day.
