After Four Days of Losses, Tehran's Stock Index Rises 1.25 Percent on Autumn's First Trading Day

Tehran's benchmark TEDPIX index rose 1.25 percent on Wednesday, 1 Mehr 1405 (September 23, 2026), to close at 7,256,832 points, after four consecutive sessions of decline. The index had closed at 7,167,335 points the previous session, Tuesday 31 Shahrivar (September 22). The equal weighted index, which had fallen for five straight sessions, also rose 0.87 percent on the day to 1,939,000 points. Trading value on the Tehran Stock Exchange topped 468 trillion rials. Donya e Eqtesad reported the rebound as Tehran shares returned to an uptrend on the first trading day of autumn.
