Iran's Targeted Subsidies Organisation said on Sunday, 26 July 2026 (4 Mordad 1405), that in the latest tranche 170,902 billion rials, equivalent to 17 trillion tomans, was paid into the accounts of wheat farmers who delivered their crop to guaranteed purchase centres by 29 June 2026 (8 Tir 1405).
Hassan Norouzi, the organisation's managing director, said farmers who delivered between late March and 5 May 2026 have now received 75 percent of what they are owed, while those who delivered between 6 May and 10 June and between 11 and 21 June received 60 percent and 40 percent respectively in this tranche.
A total of 93.1 trillion tomans had previously been paid in two earlier tranches, and with the new transfer cumulative payments to wheat farmers reached 110,100 billion tomans, or 110.1 trillion. Guaranteed wheat purchases are one of the government's largest single spending items in the bread supply chain, and the pace of settlement bears directly on farmers' cash flow and on next season's planting decisions.
