Bank Day Books a 151.8 Billion Rial Gain From Selling 11 Surplus Properties at Auction

Bank Day (ticker Vabdi) said in a Group A auction-results disclosure filed on Codal on Saturday evening, September 26, 2026 (4 Mehr 1405), that it held the fourth stage of its public auction of surplus assets, on cash and instalment terms, on 30 Shahrivar 1405 (September 21, 2026), with results announced on 31 Shahrivar (September 22).
According to the filing, 11 of the 47 properties offered were sold. Their book cost was 8.481 billion rials and total sale proceeds were 160.287 billion rials, so the bank recognized a gain of 151.807 billion rials. Some of the properties were transferred under hire-purchase (lease-to-own) contracts. Selling surplus assets is part of Iranian banks' legal obligation to exit non-core business holdings and unproductive assets.
