Cryptocurrency and global gold markets rallied on the evening of Thursday, 20 Shahrivar 1405 (September 11, 2026), immediately after the release of the US August inflation report. According to Arzdigital, bitcoin, which had earlier pulled back to around $76,000, moved back above $79,000 on renewed demand after the data, rising to about $79,600; ethereum, XRP and solana also traded higher. Spot gold, which had been trading around $4,340 before the release, climbed toward $4,400 an ounce.
Per a separate Arzdigital report, the price jump triggered a wave of short position liquidations in the crypto market, with more than $255 million in short positions closed within just 60 minutes, an event that explains part of the market's short term upward momentum. According to Sahmino's own price data, bitcoin was trading around $77,279 this morning, Saturday, 21 Shahrivar (September 12), a slight pullback from yesterday's peak.
