Bitcoin Tests Key $62,500 Support Ahead of the Weekend

According to ArzDigital on Saturday, August 15, 2026 (24 Mordad 1405), the crypto market faced mounting sell pressure heading into the Gregorian weekend. Bitcoin, trading around $62,900, is testing the key $62,500 support that marks the floor of a five week trading range. Data from the Bitfinex exchange shows about 1.79 million bitcoin, roughly 9 percent of circulating supply, was bought in the $62,000 to $65,000 range, making that band a breakeven point for a large share of traders.
Despite upbeat US inflation data, bitcoin failed six separate attempts between August 5 and 10 to hold above $65,000 resistance, and spot bitcoin ETFs recorded outflows of more than $289 million over the same period. ArzDigital's analysts warn that escalating Persian Gulf tensions combined with thinner weekend liquidity could break the $62,500 support, sending the price first to $60,000 and then toward lower levels.
