The governor of Bushehr said on Thursday, 30 July 2026, that two locations around the town of Choghadak were hit by missile strikes in the early hours of that morning. The report was published at 8:43am on Thursday.
Bushehr province is one of Iran's most important energy hubs. The petrochemical and refining complexes of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone at Assaluyeh, the port and export terminals, and the Bushehr nuclear power plant are all located there. The governor's statement made no reference to damage to industrial or energy facilities.
The strikes were reported alongside a fresh wave that also reached locations in the provinces of Hormozgan, Fars and Khuzestan in the early hours of Thursday. US Central Command had earlier on Thursday said it had concluded its latest wave of strikes on Iran.
