Seyed Ahmad Ahmadizadeh, deputy governor of Fars province for political, security and social affairs, said on Thursday, 30 July 2026, that in the early hours of that morning US fighter jets carried out air strikes on areas in the counties of Kazerun and Farashband. According to him, the strikes caused no loss of life.
The deputy governor, stressing that conditions were normal, said the situation in both counties is entirely stable and calm and that residents of Kazerun and Farashband are going about their daily activities. The report was carried from Tasnim News Agency.
Farashband is one of the gas processing hubs of southern Iran, and its gas refineries form part of the domestic gas supply chain. The provincial statement made no reference to damage to industrial facilities. The strikes are part of a fresh wave that also reached locations in the provinces of Hormozgan, Bushehr and Khuzestan.
