By Pezeshkian's order, Iran's industries will not face power cuts in Mordad and Shahrivar

Under a government decision, electricity to Iran's industrial units will not be cut during the months of Mordad and Shahrivar 1405 (roughly late July to late September 2026). The decision was taken at a coordination meeting on securing industrial power supply, attended by the energy minister, the minister of industry, mining and trade, relevant deputies and private-sector representatives, and chaired by the president's executive deputy, and was ordered by President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The stated goal of the policy is to prevent production lines from halting, to protect employment and to avoid industrial shutdowns and layoffs. Earlier this summer, power restrictions and cuts for some energy-intensive industries had reached about two days a week.
A stable industrial power supply matters for the capital market, since the output and profitability of industrial symbols on the Tehran Stock Exchange, from steel and base metals to automakers and cement, depend on uninterrupted electricity.
