Central Bank Changes Chekavak Check Clearing System Hours Starting Mehr

Iran's Central Bank issued a notice announcing a new operating schedule for the Chekavak check clearing system, covering both regular and certified checks, effective Wednesday, Mehr 1, 1405 (September 23, 2026). Under the notice, the cutoff for submitting regular checks is 10:30, with status determination ending at 13:30. For certified and guaranteed checks, the submission cutoff is 11:30, with status determination ending at 12:30. The change follows circular No. 130283, dated Shahrivar 1, 1405, issued by the Central Bank's payment systems and new technologies deputy, under which certified checks will be separated from the regular check channel starting Mehr 7, 1405. The Central Bank stressed that operating hours for the SATNA real-time settlement system remain unchanged.
