Iran's central bank approved a revised schedule of electronic banking service fees at the eighth meeting of its board of directors on 25 Khordad 1405 (June 15, 2026), and the circular was communicated to the country's banking network this week. According to Eco Iran, citing the central bank's information technology arm (Avash), the revision aims to gradually align fees with the actual cost of providing each service.
Under the circular, banks and non-bank credit institutions may offer discounts of up to 30% on listed fees for all customers, up to 100% for beneficiaries of the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee and Social Welfare Organization pensioners, and up to 40% for knowledge-based companies. The circular states that charging any amount beyond the published fee table under the name of electronic banking fees is not permitted.
