19 August 2026 | 2 months ago
According to Chinese customs data reported by Reuters and published by Oilprice.com on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 (27 Mordad 1405), China's exports of solar cells and panels fell 21.4 percent in July from a year earlier, the third straight monthly decline since Beijing scrapped export tax rebates for the products on April 1, 2026. The China Photovoltaic Industry Association has welcomed the move as helping restore rational pricing abroad. Even so, exports to Africa and South and Southeast Asia kept growing this summer, while shipments to Europe fell 18 percent and to West Asia fell 38 percent in June.
