Domestic car prices edge higher Wednesday; manual Tara reaches 2.05 billion tomans
15 July 2026 | 3 months ago
In Iran's open car market on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, alongside a weaker rial and a higher exchange rate, prices of several Iran Khodro and Saipa models rose. The manual Tara V1 Plus climbed 50 million tomans from the previous day to 2.05 billion tomans, and the Sahand S rose 20 million tomans, while the Atlas was offered 60 million tomans cheaper.
The Peugeot 207 with a TU3 engine was quoted by sellers at 1.63 billion tomans and the six-speed Dena Plus at 2.1 billion tomans. The automatic Tara V4 held unchanged at 2.65 billion tomans. Market participants attribute part of the swings to the pass-through of currency gains into the car market.
