According to tgju.org, the premium on Iran's Emami gold coin, the gap between its market price and intrinsic value based on gold content and the dollar rate, jumped 14.4 million rials, or 51.67 percent, from the previous day to reach 42,270,000 rials (about 4,227,000 tomans) in Tuesday's trading, August 11, 2026 (20 Mordad 1405). At the same time, the Emami coin's own price rose 1.6 percent (2,980,000 tomans) to 189,485,000 tomans, while the single unit retail price reached 190,490,000 tomans. By Wednesday morning, August 12 (21 Mordad), tgju.org's live feed confirmed the premium holding at roughly the same level.
The jump coincided with a rebound in the free market dollar rate and a rise in the global gold price over the same window. Tgju's own market commentary noted that part of the coin and currency market remains uncertain the political calm will hold, keeping many traders cautious.
