European equity markets closed in positive territory on Monday, 27 July 2026, as investors weighed signs of easing tensions between the United States and Iran. The pan-European STOXX Europe 600 edged up 0.02 percent to 644.62 points, London's FTSE 100 rose 0.42 percent to 10,781.75 points, and Frankfurt's DAX 40 closed 1.04 percent higher at 25,361.03 points.
Technology shares lagged during the session and capped the broader index's advance. The fall in oil prices after the United States and Iran halted their exchange of strikes over the weekend supported European consumer and transport stocks.
