Free-Market Dollar Around 260,700 Tomans at Tuesday Midday, a Second Straight Daily Fall and 3.3 Percent Below a Week Ago

The free-market US dollar in Tehran stood at about 260,700 tomans at 11:30 on Tuesday 13 October 2026 (21 Mehr 1405), according to Alanchand: 2,000 tomans, or 0.76 percent, below yesterday's 262,700. The 24-hour range was 260,300 to 265,700 tomans, and the dollar is 3.34 percent cheaper than seven days ago. On Monday it had also fallen by 3,000 tomans.
Donya-e-Eqtesad reported on Tuesday morning that the dollar had slipped to around 260 thousand tomans in off-board trading. Even so, the 30-day range runs from 226,700 to 273,100 tomans and the dollar remains far above the start of that window, so the last two days' decline is a retreat from the 273,100 peak rather than a change in the longer trend. Free-market rates are collected from partner exchange offices and move during the day.
