Hermes Khodro has received final type approval certification for the luxury Genesis GV70 crossover under GCC regional standards, valid until December 2027 (Dey 1406), according to a report published by Eghtesadonline on Sunday, Shahrivar 1, 1405 (August 23, 2026). The vehicle is registered as a 2026 model Hyundai Motor product with a 2.5 liter turbocharged Smartstream engine producing 300 horsepower and 422 newton meters of torque, paired with an eight speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive. With the certificate issued, most of the technical and regulatory requirements for importing and offering the Genesis GV70 in Iran's market have been cleared.
