Gold and coin climbed further in Thursday's market; the Emami coin passed 187 million tomans

Tehran's gold and coin market traded higher on Thursday, 30 July 2026, than the day before. According to the currency and gold desk of Eghtesad Online at 8am that day, a gram of 18 carat gold changed hands at 18,779,000 tomans and a mithqal of gold at 81,350,000 tomans. Gold of 24 carats was quoted at 25,037,000 tomans.
In the coin market, the Emami coin reached 187,900,000 tomans and the Bahar Azadi coin 184,400,000 tomans. The half coin was priced at 95,800,000 tomans, the quarter coin at 53,300,000 tomans and the gram coin at 27,500,000 tomans. The Emami coin premium, or hobab, was recorded in the same report at 4,990,000 tomans, above the previous day, while the Bahar Azadi premium fell to 1,070,000 tomans.
On Wednesday, 29 July, Mehr News Agency had reported a gram of 18 carat gold at 18,710,000 tomans and the new design coin at 187,000,000 tomans, meaning Thursday's market opened above those levels. The Tehran Stock Exchange is closed on Thursdays and Fridays, so gold and currency trading on those days runs mainly through the open market.
