Tehran's gold and coin market, which had opened lower on the morning of Wednesday, September 2, 2026 (11 Shahrivar 1405), reversed course in the afternoon. Live data from tgju.org showed 18-karat gold up 1.84 percent to 226,042,000 rials (22,604,200 tomans) per gram and the Emami coin up 2.02 percent to 225,985,000 tomans as of 15:14 Tehran time, versus a morning low of 22,115,600 tomans per gram for 18-karat gold reported earlier by Ecoiran. Sahmino's own data recorded 18-karat gold at 226,933,000 rials, up 2.24 percent, at 15:59. The reversal tracked the dollar's jump past 220,000 tomans; Arzdigital reported the turn beginning as early as 11:42, with the Emami coin already up 1.33 percent to 224,000,000 tomans.
