Gold and coins retreat in Wednesday trading; Emami coin below 185 million toman
22 July 2026 · 3 months ago
The gold and coin market eased slightly in Wednesday's session (22 July 2026) compared with the previous day. According to market reports, the Emami coin (new design) traded around 184 million toman, the old-design (Bahar Azadi) coin near 180.5 million toman, the half-coin about 94 million toman, the quarter-coin around 52.5 million toman, and the gram coin about 27 million toman.
These levels were a touch below Tuesday's (21 July) close, when the Emami coin had traded near 186 million toman. In Wednesday's late-day trading most coin pieces pulled off the day's lows and changed hands above their opening rates. Domestic gold and coin prices continue to track two variables: the global gold ounce and the exchange rate.
