30 July 2026 · 2 months ago
Yaghoub Andayesh, deputy for welfare and economic affairs at Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, said on the evening of Wednesday, 29 July 2026 (7 Mordad 1405) that payment of debts and arrears owed to stores contracted to supply the electronic food voucher (kalabarg) has begun from 19 July (28 Tir), in proportion to the credit allocated by the government. He said the credit needed for the payments was provided from support appropriations.
Andayesh said he had no information on the approval and allocation of a 55 trillion toman credit line for the voucher scheme.
The ministry's welfare and economic affairs deputy had previously said that claims of stores contracted under the electronic voucher scheme would be settled by 16 July (25 Tir), and that payments are made continuously and daily based on funds received from the Central Bank.
