The trading halls of the Iran Mercantile Exchange hosted offerings totalling 418,649 tons of products on Saturday, 25 July 2026 (3 Mordad 1405), the first working day of the week.
According to the report, 148,893 tons of steel sections were offered in the industrial hall. The oil products and petrochemical hall listed 11,702 tons, comprising 10,090 tons of chemical materials, 1,112 tons of polymer materials and 500 tons of bitumen.
The Iran Mercantile Exchange is the country's official price-discovery market for industrial raw materials, and the base rates set there for steel and petrochemical products feed directly into open-market prices for rebar and sections as well as the margins of steel and petrochemical tickers on the Tehran bourse. The figures above refer to volumes offered, not volumes traded; transaction totals are announced after the trading sessions close.
