Iran Rushes Out About 11 Million Barrels of Crude in 24 Hours Ahead of Threatened Port Blockade

According to Bloomberg (Thursday, July 9, 2026 / 18 Tir 1405), five supertankers plus one Suezmax tanker left Iranian ports within a 24-hour window, together carrying roughly 11 million barrels of crude, a volume close to a week's worth of Iran's pre-war oil exports. The rush came as President Trump threatened to reimpose a blockade on Iranian ports. The hurried exports come even as a portion of Iran's oil, including the previously reported 68-million-barrel floating stockpile, remains unsold amid falling demand from Chinese buyers.
