Iran's securities regulator clears the way for private financing instrument investment funds
3 August 2026 | 3 months ago
The head of the legal advisers and market regulation drafting centre of Iran's capital market said that, under a resolution by the board of the Securities and Exchange Organization, it is now possible to establish investment funds dedicated to private financing instruments. The report was published by the Iran capital market news agency SENA on Monday 3 August 2026 (12 Mordad 1405).
Private financing instruments are mechanisms through which companies raise money without a public offering, from a limited number of qualifying investors. Until this resolution, investment funds registered with the Securities and Exchange Organization could not operate exclusively in this class of instrument.
The regulator has approved several new instruments and fund types in recent months. The SENA report gives no timetable for the first licence to establish such a fund.
