Iran's three largest carmakers produced 189,000 vehicles in the first four months of 1405, with Pars Khodro posting the steepest drop

A review of production data from Iran's three largest carmakers shows that the combined output of Iran Khodro, Saipa and Pars Khodro reached 189,030 vehicles from the start of the 1405 year through the end of Tir, compared with 251,619 vehicles in the same period of 1404. That is a decline of about 24.9 percent, or more than 62,000 units.

Iran Khodro produced 139,293 vehicles in the period, about 12 percent below the 158,052 units of a year earlier. Saipa built 41,156 vehicles against 71,124, a drop of about 42 percent, while Pars Khodro fell about 62 percent to 8,581 vehicles from 22,443.

Within the product mix, the Peugeot group led Iran Khodro's output with 43,423 units, and Saipa's X200 family, comprising the Tiba, Quick and Saina, topped its maker with 26,032 units. Bucking the trend, Rana output more than doubled, rising from 2,782 to 6,670 vehicles.
