Khatam al-Anbia headquarters: Iranian vessels and tankers threatened in territorial waters over the past three days, and a naval blockade would amount to expanding the war

The Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters said in a statement published by the IRIB news agency and carried by Eghtesad Online on Monday, 27 July 2026 (5 Mordad 1405), that the United States, continuing what it called insecurity in the region and pursuing a naval blockade of Iran, has over the past three days threatened Iranian vessels, commercial ships and tankers in the country's coastal and territorial waters.
The statement said: "We warn that this American action is regarded as expanding the war in the region," adding that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will not leave any threat unanswered.
The statement was issued at a time when commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has remained at a very low level and talks between Iran and Oman on a mechanism for the passage of ships are continuing. Sahmino does not independently confirm the claims made in the statement and reports them as attributed to its text. The security of shipping in the Persian Gulf has been one of the main variables bearing on world oil prices, insurance and freight costs, and on Iran's currency market in recent weeks.
