Melal Credit Institution books an 8,672 billion toman profit by selling surplus assets

Melal Credit Institution, trading under the ticker Vamelal, completed a public auction of surplus real estate and investments, according to a report published by Boursenews on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 (18 Shahrivar 1405). Per the report, which cites a codal disclosure dated August 18, 2026 (27 Mordad 1405), after bids were opened, 59 lots of commercial, office and residential properties, along with the institution's shares in Toos Sarmayeh Financing Company, were transferred to winning bidders on cash and installment terms, generating total sales of 13,703 billion tomans for the institution. The profit from these transactions was estimated at 8,672 billion tomans, which the institution said is part of its strategy to strengthen its financial position and exit accumulated losses. Melal Credit Institution also said it plans to sell two 2022 model year (1401) Foton vehicles through auction, with a combined base price of 5,760 million tomans.
