Ahmad Meydari, Iran's minister of cooperatives, labour and social welfare, said on Friday, October 30, 2026 (8 Aban 1405), during a visit to a Social Security clinic in Lordegan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, that among the groups that registered for the extra kalabarg amount, the kalabarg figure had been raised by the end of Mehr from 1,000,000 tomans to 1,500,000 tomans for 33.5 million people. ISNA reported his remarks and Donya-e-Eqtesad carried them.
Meydari said the files of the remaining registrants are being reviewed jointly with the Ministry of Labour and the Plan and Budget Organization, and their kalabarg increase will be applied on 15 Aban 1405 (November 6, 2026). Another report from 7 Aban (October 29) had given the same date as the start of payments to the identified group of 33 million people; today's explanation attributes 15 Aban to the remaining registrants. The report does not state how many registrants remain.
