Middle East Bank Assembly Approves a Roughly 67% Capital Increase From Retained Earnings

The extraordinary general assembly of Middle East Bank (symbol BKHZ on Sahmino) approved a capital increase at its 10:00 meeting on Monday 19 October 2026 (27 Mehr 1405). According to the assembly summary filed on Codal, the bank's capital rises from 120 trillion rials to 200 trillion rials: an increase of 80 trillion rials (about 67%), funded entirely from retained earnings.
Because the source is retained earnings rather than a cash contribution from shareholders, the new shares go to existing holders without any payment and their percentage stakes do not change. Shareholders holding 69.52% of the shares attended the meeting. The capital-increase permit had been issued earlier, on 14 Mehr 1405.
