According to Shafaq News, global oil prices rose on Friday, 11 September 2026 (20 Shahrivar 1405), with both benchmarks trading above $100 a barrel for the first time since mid-May. Brent crude rose 81 cents (0.8 percent) to $108.44 a barrel and US West Texas Intermediate rose 69 cents (0.7 percent) to $103.17, after both benchmarks jumped more than 6 percent the previous day; the pair are now on track for a nearly 13 percent weekly gain, their steepest since the week ending July 17. Per the report, Houthi forces' seizure of Yemen's port of Mocha on Thursday and continued restricted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz have kept the market's perceived supply risk elevated. Sahmino's own data showed Brent trading around $104.61 a barrel this morning, Saturday, 12 September (21 Shahrivar).
