Oil prices rose for a third straight day on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, as the US reinstatement of the naval blockade of Iran's ports and continued strikes by both sides around the Strait of Hormuz kept concern over global energy supply disruption alive. In Asian trading, September Brent gained about 1.2% to near $85.77 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate for August rose about 1% to around $80.
Brent, which had surged roughly 11% over the previous two sessions, is now trading at its highest level in a month.
