Only Two Issues Draw Bids at 20th Government Islamic Securities Auction, Yields Near 41%

According to Ecoiran, citing a Central Bank report published on Monday, October 26, 2026, only two issues, Arad296 and Arad314, drew interest from banks and non-bank credit institutions at the 20th government Islamic securities auction of 1405. Of the orders placed, 20.2 thousand billion rials were accepted, 10.1 thousand billion rials for each issue. Yields to maturity for the two were set at 41 percent and 41.7 percent respectively.

Counting this round, total sales of government Islamic securities across the 20 auctions held so far reached 4,243.8 thousand billion rials, about 424.4 thousand billion tomans. Ecoiran writes that the next auction is due on Tuesday, 5 Aban (October 27), and that the accepted amount covers only a limited share of the funds offered.
