Tehran Main Stock Index Rises While Equal-Weight Gauge Falls
26 October 2026 | 2 days ago
At the end of trading on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Tehran Stock Exchange's main index rose 0.68 percent while its equal-weight gauge fell. Mehr reported that large stocks, notably National Iranian Copper Industries, drove much of the headline index gain; the lower equal-weight measure showed that the advance was not shared evenly across stocks.

The Farabourse main index also declined in that session, diverging from the Tehran main gauge. These are indices for two separate exchanges. Mehr reported slightly more buy queues than sell queues, although negative stocks without queues outnumbered positive ones without queues. This is the reading in the report after that day's session.
