Persian Gulf Petrochemical says 25,000 billion toman capital increase approved and moving to registration

3 August 2026 · 2 months ago

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company said in a statement published on Monday, August 3, 2026, that its extraordinary general meeting held on July 27, 2026 approved a capital increase of 25,000 billion tomans, together with the alignment of the company's articles of association with the Securities and Exchange Organization's model statute.

The company explained that, under the Codal notice, July 29 was the deadline to hold the extraordinary meeting to "approve" the capital increase rather than to register it, and that approval was conditional on adopting the regulator's model statute, both of which were completed at the July 27 meeting. Under clause (c) of article 14 of the Production and Infrastructure Financing Law, a company has 10 months from approval at the extraordinary meeting to register the resolution and use the associated tax exemption.

The company said the increase will be registered before the annual general meeting, that a 5,000 billion toman tax exemption will be used, and that the annual meeting will be held with registered capital of 125,000 billion tomans.
