Persian Gulf Petrochemical says its 25 trillion toman capital increase is in the legal registration process

4 August 2026 | 3 months ago

Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company responded to a report claiming that mismanagement had cost pensioners a 5 trillion toman opportunity, stating that its extraordinary general meeting on 5 Mordad 1405 (27 July 2026) approved both the 25 trillion toman capital increase and the alignment of the company's articles of association with the Securities and Exchange Organization template.

According to the company, the Codal notice set 7 Mordad (29 July) as the deadline for holding the extraordinary general meeting to approve the capital increase, not for registering it, and both items were completed at the 5 Mordad meeting. The company added that clause (c) of Article 14 of the Production and Infrastructure Financing Act allows 10 months from the meeting's approval to register the resolution and use the tax exemption.

The company said the 25 trillion toman capital increase will be registered before the annual general meeting in cooperation with the Securities and Exchange Organization, that the 5 trillion toman tax exemption will be used for the benefit of shareholders, and that the annual meeting will be held with registered capital of 125 trillion tomans.
