According to Boursenews, reporting from Persian Gulf Star Oil Company's annual general meeting held Tuesday, 18 August 2026 (27 Mordad 1405) to review the fiscal year ended 29 Esfand 1404 (around March 2026), net profit at the company, the world's largest gas condensate refinery, jumped from 3.7 trillion tomans to a record 47 trillion tomans. Per the report, the company's financial statements received an unqualified "acceptable" opinion from Iran's Audit Organization for the first time in years, resolving a long standing issue tied to undetermined foreign currency facilities. At the same meeting, Tapico, which holds 49 percent of the company alongside a 6 percent stake held by Iran's Social Security Investment Organization, secured three seats on the board. The company produces about 45 million liters of gasoline a day, supplying more than 20 percent of the country's fuel needs.
