President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday, October 19, 2026 (27 Mehr 1405) sent the National Artificial Intelligence Development Law to ministries and executive bodies for implementation, ISNA reported, as carried by Donya-e-Eqtesad. Parliament passed the law in an open session on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 (28 Mordad 1405), and the Guardian Council approved it on August 26, 2026 (4 Shahrivar 1405). The promulgation notice does not set out implementation or budget details.
